Overwhelmingly, fast growth districts are the places people think of first when they decide to move to (or within) Texas. As such, we have begun to refer to ourselves as “Destination Districts” and this sends a very powerful message to our state leadership as they begin to set priorities for the next legislative session. The crucial question is this: will people continue to move to Texas and to our fast growth communities if we don’t support local schools, roads, parks, libraries and other city infrastructure?
Recent news regarding Destination Districts:
- Frisco recently topped a national study as one of the best mid-sized cities in which to live. You can read more here.
- Many of you have already seen SafeWise’s report on the safest cities in Texas. Is it any surprise that many of them are fast growth districts?
- And last, CNN Money’s Best Places to Live includes three Texas towns (The Colony at #20, Coppell at #32 and Pflugerville at #44). All three are fast growth districts.
